We came down from Soldotna for a night to celebrate our anniversary. Steve meet us on the porch with a warm welcome and smile and there was even a moose hanging out in the yard. Our room was great and the double shower was awesome! Steve and his wife are the best hosts and full of information. Whatever you want to do they can make it happen. Breakfast was delicious and you must make some time in your day for some of Steve's stories. We will definitely come and stay here again. Highly recommended! My family stayed 2 nights at Halcyon Height B&B in June 2016. Halcyon Height B&B got a beautiful view overlooking Homer Spit. On a sunny day, you can see snow mountains, glaciers, boats and planes. It's said moose and bears may visit the yard, but we didn't see one. The house is decorated with every detail and is as cozy as home. We stayed in the Captain's Room. It's very spacious and well equipped with everything we need and has its own entry. The owner couple are very hospitable and friendly. They introduced all things we need to know around the B&B and Homer. They helped to booked our fishing and sea kayaking tour which turned out to be some of the best experiences we had in Alaska. Because we had to leave for the tour every morning, we were not able to join the breakfast in the dining room. But they prepared very tasty snack for us to bring over to the boat. The lady can cook different cuisine, the way she baked the fresh halibut (we fished!) was so delicious! We would definitely come back again! My mom and I stayed with these folks in April of 2016 when she came up to AK to pick me up from school. They are the sweetest people and made it feel so welcoming and warm. My mom has a strong dislike for eggs and they went out of their way to make a breakfast that was completely egg free. The house and rooms were gorgeous and clean. We could not have picked a better place to stay! I'm starting to plan a trip with some of my friends to go back to Homer, and Halcyon Heights is on the top of my list of places to stay. Absolutely loved this bnb! It is so good better than any hotel I have been We stayed 3 nights in Homer. Halcyon Heights was a beautiful place to stay. It was immaculately clean and very comfortable. Breakfast around the table meeting people from around the USA and the world made it a wonderful multicultural experience. It was an educational experience in itself with Stephen sharing some history of his family as-well-as local information and guidance. They were very accommodating assisting in every way to make our stay a good experience. Juxia is a wonderful cook and prepared excellent and tasty meals being very accommodating to my wife’s dietary needs. When the moment comes for us to return to Homer, we will definitely stay here. We highly recommend it.
