A bunch of cool and unique Alaskan gifts. A nice selection of knives and cool museum quality attractions that can be yours for the right price. The staff are knowledgeable of local events and how the fishing is going down at the Hole. Definitely a great place to stop for ice cream and a good chat. The gifts are quality and from Alaskan artists. Plus you get to feast your eyes on a mint 57 Corvette. A trip to Homer isn't complete without a stop here. Touristy fun Great homemade ice cream, and believe me, it's a meal. Big store.. That was the plus. The negatives -- Lots of cheap gifts, literally.. Kind of junky. As we were paying for our items, the clerk was packaging them in boxes WAY too big for the gifts and jamming tons of packing peanuts in these boxes from other packages they receive daily. I pulled them out to repack properly using bubble wrap to go in my carry-on. When I opened up the box, I discovered she had pushed on the moose's antlers so hard they broke. By that time, I was in Anchorage.. I called, left my name, number, and date/time of purchase. No return call ever occurred. If you are reading this, go down to the Homer Spit and buy some real quality gifts. Avoid this trash hole. If the store owner is reading this, maybe you should've called me back?
