Located literally at the end of the land on the Homer Spit, our room faced the sea and what a view we had. Our room had a small balcony from which the picture below was taken. The room was on the small side but still fairly modern and clean. We ate our meals at the hotel's dining and the food was very good. Breakfast is not included in the price of the room. Had the clam chowder and smoked salmon salad. Food was great and service was quick. Since it is off season we had our choice of tables overlooking the bay. Definitely recommend if in Homer. Beautiful view and mellow, nice, semi-formal ambiance. It has the best view of any restaurant in Homer, yet the food is just average. I lucked out by ordering the burger, and it was seriously delicious, though the fish and chips had small portions with a grocery store taste. I'd come for the view and a fancy 1/2 lb burger but save the fish and chips for another place. We stayed here in October. Whale watching from the room and the restaurant. The room was great. Clean, nice amenities and the bed was VERY comfy. Unbelievable view! We watched sea otters from the room at night. Rooms are not well planned out. Window wouldn't open. Blinds didn't work. TV placed too low to view. Shower difficult to turn on. Staff was great, food was great, stellar location. Hard to dock it points but the review is specifically about the room.
