i make a point of stopping here, every trip back to Homer to visit, to take a moment to remember the folks i knew, who were lost at sea, and to speak their names. It's a calm spot, with an appropriately perfect view. The gazebo and sculpture are beautiful. It's a popular spot for photos, and, in my experience, people tend to act with a certain due reverence, here. A really neat place to stop on the Spit and take in the view. It's also a Pokemon Gym.
