RUDEST SERVICE I’ve Experienced in My Entire Life I have been going to Duncan House since it opened years ago. I work hard to bring joy to everyone I meet. When attempting several times to engage our waiter when he came to the table in friendly conversation, I was PURPOSELY ignored by the waiter (the owner’s adult son). Sadly, it really hit me hard this morning and hurt my feelings and I’ve been crying for an hour now. When I mentioned to the owner how disappointed I was that his son & worker would treat me that way after I’ve been nothing but nice to him all these years, the OWNER told me I “should just enjoy the rest of the people there and not let one a**hole get to me”. I find it unacceptable for people to treat others poorly for no reason! Well, my mother loves that place and goes daily but I HOPE to never go there again in my life now that I know they find it acceptable to have their workers treat people with such DISGUST that it can ruin my day and mood. It was an awful end to a fabulous trip to see my parents! Feel free to go there for the food if you don’t mind being treated like doggy doo and for that to be acceptable! Just what you need, when you need it. With the perfect atmosphere for a classic diner. Portions and price are on point; with friendly and attentative service staff. The kitchen is clean, food is decent, and well plated to suit the atmosphere of the diner. I come here everyone I'm in homer excellent ppl and service and the food is very good We breakfast at Duncan House whenever we're in Homer, Alaska. The atmosphere is friendly, busy. Comfortable. Service is prompt and all the staff smiles. The food if excellent diner fare. There were five of us, all served at once, all with different orders. Prices are fair . We enjoy the old diner feel of the place. I recommend the homeyness. Good, fast and filling. The service was frequent and friendly. Go to the Duncan House.
