Prices were kind of on the high side. Had the special which was a steak and scallops with rice and green beans... not worth $49. My steak tasted better the next day after I microwaved it. However, the salmon dish with mango chutney or something, that was WAY good. Calamari was also very good and crispy. Staff was super nice but slow service. Not enough people working - one person seating people, getting drinks, serving food and taking orders. Food was ok but nothing special. Not worth the price. It was the end of the tourism season - hopefully their service is better during the peak season. Great bar service. Had a shrimp cocktail appetizer and kassiks whalers wheat beer while watching the Vikings preseason game on one of many TV's by the bar. Pretty relaxed atmosphere with great views of the ocean Good seafood chowder, would prefer a little more on the hot side. Great halibut tacos!!! Owner and our server were super nice!!!! This was the closest alternative after discovering that the highly rated Little Mermaid was closed. I found out that the restaurant was lowly rated after being seated. There was a single waiter who seated and served everybody. He did so professionally with a great attitude. The halibut sandwich was excellent but the ceviche was bland. The seafood chowder was good...a 7 out of 10 with 10 being best. Homer has a lot to offer. I wouldn't necessarily come back unless there was nothing else around.
