We bought box lunches from La Baleine for our Halibut charter. Lunches were great, had a choice of sandwiches, 2 meat and 1 vegetarian option for the sandwiches. Ample food for a day of fishing, we were SO enthralled with fishing we actually lost track of time and only scarfed down our lunches on the way back into Homer mid afternoon. One thing to note though, each lunch included a banana. If you are at all superstitious and MOST ALL boat Captains are....banana's are BAD LUCK on a fishing boat. We thought it was pretty funny. Love this place! One of our favorite places to eat in Homer. Food is fresh and beautifully prepared. Great place for breakfast. Plenty to eat and delicious. They open at 5 a.m. which is great if you are going on a tour. Good food. Good service. Acomadating hours. Nice! The service here is what you would expect; open and ready to take customers. As far the food is concerned, its spot on. The biscuits and gravy with the egg on top: Marvelous. Thanks guys.
